What's in your indoor air?

Indoor air may be dirtier than you think

There are many pollutants that may negatively impact the air quality in your home. Studies have indicated indoor air quality may be as much as 2 to 5 times worse than outdoor air, and many people spend up to 90% of their time indoors.

The quality of the indoor air may be in constant flux.  Changing conditions such as doors opening, foot traffic, new carpet, new furniture or seasonal allergens entering your home may all impact the air quality levels over time.

Adding an air purifier to your home, will positively affect the air that surrounds you every day. If you suffer from allergies or asthma, the impact may be immediate.  Even if you do not have sensitivities to the air quality in your home, it may still pay to be proactive about the air you breathe.

Do you know what’s in your air?

Indoor pollutants range from particle pollutants such as dust mites, pet dander, bacteria and viruses to gas pollutants that may be emitted from chemicals, new furniture, paints or carpets.

Bacteria and Viruses:

Both bacteria and viruses are types of germs that are commonly found in indoor air. One sneeze or cough can cause these particles to become airborne, increasing the likelihood of infecting anyone that comes in to contact with them.

TruSens Air Purifiers come equipped with UV-C light.  This feature kills bacteria and viruses trapped in the air filter without generating harmful levels of ozone and the negative effects this may have on your health.

Harmful Gases and Chemicals:

Particle board, which is often found in furniture, carpet, paint and cleaning supplies, are a few sources that are likely to emit toxic chemicals called volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). Some may also contain ammonia and bleach, which according to the American Lung Association, can be harmful to your health as well.

TruSens purifiers include DuPont™ filtration that consists of a layer of carbon. Carbon filters out such VOC’s and odors, creating an environment that is more pleasant to your nose and health.

Inhalation of fine particulate matter such as pollen, pet dander, dust mites and emissions from cigarettes and vehicle exhaust have been linked with heart disease, asthma, bronchitis and other health problems. Wood combustion from fireplaces during the winter months is another one of the sources that may impact the quality of your indoor air.

The DuPont™ HEPA filters included on all TruSens purifiers are designed to trap fine particulate matter.  After using a TruSens air purifier you will be amazed at the particles trapped by the filter that never made it into your lungs.

TruSens helps solve the problem behind indoor air pollution.
Keep track of the usual and be alerted of the unusual with TruSens.

Having the tools that enable you to respond to information that can impact your quality of life have become increasingly important. Being informed puts you in control. TruSens goes beyond delivering cleaner air by informing you of your air quality and providing concrete data and evidence. More than just a product, TruSens offers more control over your well-being.

TruSens Air Purifiers have taken a scientific approach to air purification. The SensorPod air quality monitor included with the TruSens Air Purifier models Z-2000, Z-2500, Z-3000 and Z-3500 is a direct outcome of lab testing. These tests concluded that air quality measurements taken away from an air purifier provide a more accurate representation of the air quality in a room. SensorPod can be placed in a space where you would like to measure the air quality with more precision, detecting pollutants away from the air purifier. For example, you may place the SensorPod on a nightstand or on a side table in the family room. The result is an air purifier that informs you with detailed air quality readings and adapts more effectively to the changing air quality conditions in your room.
