TruSens air purifiers utilise a unique 360-degree filter and remote sensing technology to eliminate many pollutants from your home.
Pet dander, hair and odours
As an integral part of a family, there are few things that beat the unconditional love and companionship of a pet. They can help lower blood pressure, provide stress relief and improve mood. When pet hair, dander and odours get released into the air, those positive benefits can become less enjoyable if allergy symptoms are triggered. A TruSens air purifier could provide a solution to this.
Symptoms of pet dander allergy
- Sneezing/runny nose
- Chest tightness
- Shortness of breath
- Watery, red or itchy eyes
- Skin rash or hives
What causes pet dander?
Dander is composed of tiny flecks of skin shed by cats, dogs, rodents, birds and other animals with fur or feathers. Like us, dogs and cats must undergo a wardrobe change when the climate gets warmer in seasons such as spring or summer. To do this, many thick-coated pets shed heavily and release their protective under-layer of hair, releasing their dander into the air. Furthermore, proteins found in saliva, urine and feces from cats, dogs and other pets can cause allergic reactions. Dried saliva may flake off from an animal's fur and become airborne, and dust from dried feces can be suspended in the same way.
How TruSens combats pet allergies
TruSens incorporates multiple levels of filtration that specifically target pet dander, hair and odours. The washable pre-filter and activated carbon filter traps large particles, and the HEPA filter captures particulate matter as small as .3 microns.
Monitoring the air where you need it most is another way to keep allergic reactions to a minimum. With the remote sensing technology of SensorPod, the air quality in a room can be measured away from the unit. The purifier adjusts to the air readings communicated by the SensorPod and makes the correct adjustments. Place the SensorPod and TruSens air purifier wherever you need to eliminate pet dander, hair and odours.
